LICENSE AGREEMENT
FOR MCGRAW-HILL SOFTWARE
1. McGraw-Hill licenses and authorizes you to use the software
specified below only on a microcomputer located within your own facilities.
2. You will abide by the Copyright Law of the United States. The law provides
you with the right to make only one back-up copy. It prohibits you from making
any additional copies, except as expressly provided by McGraw-Hill. In the event
that the software is protected against copying in such a way that it cannot be
duplicated, McGraw-Hill will provide you with one back-up copy at minimal cost
or no charge.
3. You will not prepare derivative works based on the software because that also
is not permitted under the Copyright Law. For example, you cannot prepare an
alternative hardware version or format based on the existing software.
4. If you have a problem with the operation of our software or believe it is
defective, contact your nearest McGraw-Hill Book Company office about securing
a replacement. We cannot, however, offer free replacement of software damaged
through normal wear and tear, or lost while in your possession. Nor does McGraw-Hill
warrant that the software will satisfy your requirements, that the operation of the
software will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that the program defects in the
software can be corrected. Except as described in this agreement, software is
distributed "as is" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied,
including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for
a particular purpose or use.
5. Additional rights and benefits may come with the specific software package you
have purchased. Consult the support materials that come with this program, or contact
the nearest McGraw-Hill Book Company office in your area.
System Requirements:
In order to run this CD-ROM properly; please make sure that your computer meets
the minimum system requirements:
Windows:
* Intel Pentium II 200
* 128 MB RAM (64 MB available RAM)
* Windows 98, 2000, XP, or NT 4.0+
* 4x (or better) CD-ROM drive
* SVGA or higher monitor with 800x600 resolution running 16-bit color
* Sound card
For Macintosh OSX:
* G3 running 10.1 or better
* 128 MB of available RAM
* Color monitor with 800x600 resolution running 16-bit-color
* sound capability
Macintosh Classic:
* Power Macintosh 180 (G3 recommended)
* 128 MB RAM (64 MB available RAM)
* System 8.6 or later
* 4x (or better) CD-ROM drive
* Color monitor with 800x600 resolution running 16-bit-color
* sound capability
QuickTime Requirements:
QuickTime is required to run the program. You can install Quicktime by downloading
the most recent version from the Apple Quicktime website (http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/).
You can click the InstallQuicktime.html file which will bring you directly to the Apple Quicktime web site.
Installation and Setup - Starting the CD-ROM:
Windows:
1. Insert the CD into the CD-ROM drive
2. Double click on My Computer on your desktop
3. Double click on the CD-ROM drive, most commonly called the D:/ drive.
4. Double click on the start_pc.exe file from the CD-ROM.
Macintosh:
1. Insert the CD into the CD-ROM drive
2. Double click on the πFrames of ReferenceΣ CD-ROM
3. Double click on the Starthere_OSX or Starthere_Classic file from the CD-ROM
Macintosh System 9.x or lower use Starthere_Classic
Macintosh OSX 10.1 or higher use Starthere_OSX
